Release notes for version 2015_02
  • For some of the organisms we observed a slight decrease in the number of interactions with a structure (for example fly and yeast). This is mainly due to a delay in Interactome3D in catching up with the new PDB format. Interactome3D includes binary interactions identified between chains of the same PDB structure. Some PDB structures has been superseeded by new counterparts that are only released in the new PDB format (with chain IDs of two characters). Interactome3D still uses the old PDB format and cannot parse the PDB files that have substituted the old entries. Those interactions are therefore not present in the new version of the database. We apologize for the inconvenience and we are working hard in trying to fix this problem.
Release notes for version 2014_06
  • Uniprot has recently unmerged all the entries marked with the generic tax id of the Mycobacterium Tuberculosis species to the tax ids of the individual strains. For this reason we moved from the generic tax id 1773 to the tax id of the reference strain ATCC 25177 / H37Ra, which is 83332. This implied a change in the structural coverage of the organism, particularly for homology models of single proteins (which are obtained from ModBase).
